AION 2 Tier List: Global Class Ranking Method & Update Rules

Before Global launch, there is not enough evidence for a reproducible S, A, or B ranking. Steam confirms eight classes and the intended gameplay, but not comparable results under one gear level, skill level, party, activity difficulty, and global launch balance.

This page therefore publishes the criteria and update policy first. A letter list without patch, region, PvE or PvP context, gear, and sample should not be treated as a universal result.

NC's Season 2 release contains class balance changes and class-specific ranking rules. Chapter 1 then adds Brawler and changes level, skills, and content. Comparison is clearly affected by patch, class pool, gear, and activity.

The global Steam page currently presents eight classes while the Chapter 1 live service includes Brawler. When the available class pool itself differs, copying a live regional ranking into a Global launch tier list would be misleading.

Each list should answer one defined question, such as equal-item-level survivability in five-player PvE, group utility in a fixed party, a defined competitive ruleset, or beginner error recovery. One blended score across every activity hides class design differences.

Steam's global class pool contains Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric, and Chanter. Before ranking them, classify melee or ranged, burst or sustained pressure, damage or defense or healing, solo or group value, and execution load.

For a personal choice, use the class finder and eight-class overview to select candidates that fit range, pace, and party responsibility, then read the class guides. The best fit and the highest damage in one patch are different questions.

• Beginner: error tolerance, resource management, and recovery.
• Static group: buffs, control, protection, and healing responsibility.
• Solo: sustain, target switching, movement, and setup cost.
• PvP: separate small-scale, battlefield, and large faction war.

Activity-specific tiers require the global class pool, release balance build, activity rules, and comparable samples. Each update must retain the old version date, reason for change, and sample limits. A major balance patch or new class should turn the old list into a historical version instead of silently changing letters.

An official class-specific leaderboard can supply within-class context, but it does not automatically prove causal strength between classes. KINA conclusions remain labelled editorial analysis rather than an NC ranking.
